What’s New in Treatments

Get the latest info on HIV treatments and management.
What’s New in Treatments is a short educational session that will give you the information you need to get the best HIV treatment for you.
We’re creating a safe and confidential space where you can meet or catch up with community and learn about the treatment issues that matter most to you. The event will start with a casual meet and greet with some light food and refreshments.
You’ll get to hear from peers with different treatment experiences and have your questions answered by an ART specialist experienced in HIV care. The session will cover:
- Understanding viral suppression, undetectable viral load and long-term health
- New and current treatment options, like long-acting injectables
- Taking treatments day-to-day, including what to do about missed or late doses
- The latest evidence on long term side effects and how to manage them
- Finding the right ART prescriber and relationship for you
If you have any questions or want more details please get in touch with Tim at tkrulic@lpv.org.au.
This event is free. Dinner included. Register early to secure your spot. As this is a new event we will be asking for your feedback and insights to help us improve.
