HIV Long Term Survivors

This is a very diverse group for all people that identify as long term survivors of HIV/AIDS. Just for reference, officially for policy making and to be able to get resources and services, an HIV LONG TERM SURVIVOR is someone who got infected before HAART – this is the acronym for “highly active antiretroviral therapy- the cocktail”; but for this group, whoever self identify as a LONG TERM SURVIVOR is welcome. Most of us have been HIV positive 20 years or longer, in my case, I’ve been HIV positive for 36 years, but we even have some people who are HIV negative, but who have seen their friends and lovers died and they feel they belong to here. We have also some others who need this family for guidance, so, if you don’t like this philosophy of inclusiveness, you might not belong. We are open to any gender, race and sexual preference and we have no affiliation with any agency or organisation.

The Kindness Pandemic

The Kindness Pandemic was established by Dr Catherine Barrett on 14 March 2020 – to improve the lives of people devastated by the CoVid19 Pandemic. Kindness won’t make COVID19 go away, but it is making our lives easier. Over 1/2 million people joined our group in two weeks.
We particularly encourage acts of intersectional, kindness for people who are marginalised (before Covid and because of it) … in other words, kindness for ALL.
We have a team of 12 amazing volunteers and a website that documents our 40+ kindness campaigns.
Please also join our Facebook PAGE which includes updates.
The Kindness Pandemic is an initiative of Celebrate Ageing, a not for profit building respect for older people.

All The Queens Men

All The Queens Men collaborate with communities of all shapes, sizes, and identities to produce transformative creative experiences that champion equality, social health, and human connection.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, All The Queens Men is an independent arts organisation founded by award-winning performance artists Tristan Meecham and Bec Reid. The two met on the dance floor, immediately shared a tequila shot, and have been collaborating ever since; united in their belief that artistic community collaboration, bound by strong partnerships, can activate positive social change.

ATQM has become a leading creative voice within the LGBTI+ community nationally and internationally, most specifically for championing the rights of LGBTI+ elders. The Company’s practice, expressed through projects such as The Coming Back Out BallLGBTI+ Elders Dance Club and Rainbow Reviews, enables LGBTI+ communities improved access, not only to arts experiences, but to broader community health and social services.

There is so much work to be done and we can’t forget our LGBTI+ elderly just because we’re young. Our community was built by those who came before and now they need our support. – Lizzi, LGBTI+ elder.
