The implementation of the Multicultural Engagement Strategy is the first step towards eliminating systemic barriers faced by multicultural PLHIV to live without discrimination. As an organisation, LPV will dedicate its resources, time, and personnel to work towards achieving this goal. LPV will invite, consult, listen, and implement practical ways of ensuring that it serves all people living with HIV.
Ananda Training & Consultancy worked alongside LPV CEO Richard Keane and the Multicultural Engagement Strategy Advisory Group to design and develop the strategy. This group consisted of professionals and community members with an extensive knowledge of HIV, multicultural health services, public health, and general practice. Regular meetings were held to share ideas, provide direction, review materials, and troubleshoot unforeseen challenges.
