Positive Reflections: Growing Older with HIV

A space to reflect, connect and share our experiences of living with HIV as people over 50.
Positive Reflections is a workshop for people living with HIV to come together, share stories and learn from each other.
This special session is for people living with HIV aged over 50.
Living with HIV has changed enormously over the decades. Many long-term survivors have lived through times of fear, stigma, loss and uncertainty, as well as incredible changes in treatment, community and what it means to grow older with HIV. People who were diagnosed more recently have faced some different challenges, but still share many points of connection with their long term survivor friends and peers.
This workshop creates a space to reflect on those experiences together.
We’ll talk about the past, but also about where we are now and what we want for our futures. There will be opportunities to explore ageing, relationships, health, community, resilience, loss, joy and the knowledge that comes from many years of lived experience.
You are welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. You can also simply come along, listen and connect with other people who understand some of these experiences.
Positive Reflections is facilitated by people who are also living with HIV.
Come and spend some time with community, meet others and reflect on the journeys that have brought us here.
