Positive Health Care Worker Network

The Positive Health Care Worker Network is a dedicated space for health care providers living with HIV. This includes professionals working in aged care and disability support, among other health care roles. 

At LPV, we deeply appreciate the critical role you play in the health care system and acknowledge the challenges that come with providing care, especially in environments where stigma and discrimination may exist. We understand that, for many, being open about your HIV status at work can feel daunting and at times unsafe. 

The Positive Health Care Worker Network is a safe and supportive space where HIV + health care workers can come together to share experiences, offer each other support, and navigate the highs and lows of their roles. We are hoping this space will foster a sense of community where you can connect with peers who truly understand your unique journey. We know that bringing your whole self to work can be difficult in what can be a stigmatising environment. Through this network, we aim to empower you and create an environment where your health and wellbeing are prioritized alongside the important care you provide to others. 

Together, we can work to ensure that HIV + health care workers are supported, respected, and celebrated for the invaluable work they do.
