About the program

The Positive Speakers’ program (previously Positive Speakers Bureau) is the human face of HIV and aims to reduce the fear, myths, stigma and discrimination that people living with HIV face, and for audiences to listen and learn about HIV and ask questions. The program is run by and for HIV positive people who use their personal stories to help people learn about HIV. By sharing their lived experiences, the speakers share the reality of what it means to live with HIV and replace the fear and misinformation with empathy, facts and hope.
All our speakers attend formal training workshops and are provided with comprehensive skills development in order to provide the best outcomes to your participants, workforce, and community.
