PLAV: Portuguese-Speaking Dinner

Pela primeira vez, estamos organizando um jantar especialmente para a comunidade de língua portuguesa dentro do grupo Positive Latin Americans in Victoria (PLAV).
(For the first time, we’re hosting a dinner especially for the Portuguese-speaking community within Positive Latin Americans in Victoria – PLAV).

Sabemos que o PLAV tem sido, até agora, um espaço principalmente de língua espanhola. Este jantar é parte de um esforço contínuo para enfrentar as barreiras linguísticas que muitas pessoas enfrentam — não apenas em nossos eventos, mas também em nossos serviços e programas.
(PLAV has mostly been a Spanish-speaking space. This dinner is part of an ongoing effort to address the language barriers many people face — not only in our events, but also in our services and programs.)

Estamos defendendo a criação de espaços mais acessíveis e representativos, e é por isso que sua presença e interesse são tão importantes. Quanto mais pessoas participarem, mais força teremos para continuar promovendo encontros como este.
(We’re advocating for more inclusive and representative spaces, and that’s why your presence and interest matter. The more people attend, the stronger our case to keep creating events like this.)

Este evento é exclusivo para pessoas que vivem com HIV e que se identificam com uma origem latino-americana.
(This event is exclusively for people living with HIV who identify with a Latin American background.)

Se você nunca participou de um evento da LPV, este é o momento perfeito para começar. Venha como você é — com curiosidade, com vontade de conhecer gente nova, ou simplesmente para compartilhar uma refeição acolhedora.
