John Cain
John is a Melbourne born long-term HIV positive man who was diagnosed in late 1983. He then spent 6 years in the UK (London, Scotland) where he then became involved in community education and support for HIV/Aids organisations such as Scottish Aids Monitor (S.A.M) and London Gay/HIV Switchboard. Just prior to Covid John trained to become a speaker with the Positive Speakers program and has personally benefited from his engagement in community-based programs where he has spoken to medical professionals, students and many others about his lived experience of HIV.
