Postponed: Planet Positive Summer Social

It is with regret that we announce that the Planet Positive Summer Social planned for 16 January has been postponed.

With the number of potential COVID-19 exposure sites expanding in connection to the Black Rock cluster and the nature of the event, Living Positive Victoria, in consultation with our partners at the Laird Hotel, have made the difficult decision to postpone the event. We remain confident that this cluster will be managed over the next few weeks and enable us to again begin planning for Planet Positive to return in March 2021.

Äll of us at Team LPV have missed catching up with you over the duration of the pandemic and we were really looking forward to connecting again at The Laird this Saturday afternoon. I understand how frustrating this postponement must be for a lot of you. With the complexities of indoor/outdoor masks on/off rules, capacity restrictions, food handling and service rules and the potential of COVID-19 transmission with hot spots recently being identified in the Collingwood/Abbotsford area, our decision has been made with the best interests of everyone in mind – our staff, venue staff, volunteers, members and guests”, says Planet Positive coordinator, Dimitri Daskalakis.

The health of our community is paramount and a cautious approach, given the current circumstances is required. We look forward to re-connecting with you all in March and thank our partners at the Laird Hotel for their ongoing support of this event.
