A Date with Jean-Michel Basquiat x Keith Haring

Gen Next is heading to the National Gallery of Victoria for a date with Basquiat and Haring.

Haring and Basquiat challenged many of the hierarchies and traditions within the art world. Crossing Lines is the first exhibition to present the work of these two highly influential artists.

You will have the opportunity to see powerful works relating to HIV, major social and political issues, including the threat of nuclear warfare, the destruction of the natural environment, and the discrimination against minority groups.

The session will be facilitated by Meg Slater, the Assistant Curator of International Exhibition Projects at the NGV.

We will be meeting by the front water wall of the NGV at 11:45am sharp.

This event is for members of our Gen Next group. If you are aged 30 or younger, you can join via our website.

Living Positive Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
