Gen Next is a social group for young people living with HIV. We welcome people from all backgrounds inclusive of all genders and sexualities. It’s a safe and confidential space where you can meet other young people 30 and under.

We catch up regularly and talk about things like disclosure, sex and relationships or anything else at monthly discussion nights and events.

Our next outing takes us to the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, in the heart of the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct. The Doherty is involved in discovery research; diagnosis, surveillance and investigation of infectious disease outbreaks; and the development of ways to prevent, treat and eliminate infectious diseases.
We will be touring the research laboratories, including the state of the art high-containment laboratory where a lot of HIV cure research is performed. Have you ever wondered what research is done during clinical trials and where your cells go if you participate in one? This is your opportunity to learn about how it all works and much more.

Registration to attend is essential due to limited space.

Living Positive Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
