Strategic Partnerships: A Guiding Principle in our Strategic Plan
OUR ENABLERS
As part of our Strategic Plan 2023-2028 we have identified three guiding principles to enable us to meet the expectations of our community, our partners and our stakeholders.
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
- We will partner within our sector and across our communities to extend reach, avoiding duplication and increase overall impact.
- We will continue to invest in and defend the diverse range of key partnerships across the Victorian community sector response, extending opportunities from an intersectional lived experience lens across the ever-diversifying communities with which we engage.
- Key to the visibility and inclusion of existing and emerging communities are our relationships across scientific, CURE, medical and social research. The ability to partner and develop data and evidence-based responses are central to our forward strategy of increasing the quality of life experienced by people living with HIV.
- State community service providers will continue to offer opportunities to extend our reach and therefore extending the broader understanding of the HIV lived experience across key response areas of Alcohol and other drugs, mental health, disability, homelessness, refugee, and migrant health.
- Our strong ongoing relationship with our funders at the State Government level puts our communities’ lived experience at the centre of the Victorian State HIV Strategy in reducing stigma, racism, and discrimination.
- Integral to this strategy remains our relationship with our national peak organisation NAPWHA, our involvement in the operational leadership group enables us to advocate around federal issues such as immigration and Aged care services and leverage the work done to improve outcomes on the ground within a local context.
Our work in these areas will align with the goals of the Victorian HIV plan 2022–30 and the Eighth National HIV Strategy.
