Get involved in LPV’s Multicultural Engagement Strategy
We are currently working with Ananda Training & Consultancy in developing a Multicultural Engagement Strategy. Living Positive Victoria recognises the need to improve its engagement with people living with HIV (PLHIV) from multicultural backgrounds. The aim of the strategy is to ensure that Living Positive Victoria can provide a culturally and psychologically safe environment for PLHIV from multicultural communities in specific, and all PLHIV in general.
Currently, we are in the process of consulting with various stakeholders and community members on the strategy. We would like to invite you to be involved in a focus group or one-on-one interview as we recognise the importance of listening to Living Positive Victoria’s members and volunteers.
We prioritise involvement from Living Positive Victoria’s members and volunteers who are of multicultural backgrounds (non-Anglo and non-Indigenous) and who fit one or more of the following priority population:
- Multifaith or a person of faith
- Living in regional and rural areas
- Women (cis and trans)
- Trans and gender diverse
- Bisexual and bi+ (inclusive of pansexual, omnisexual and more)
- Heterosexual
- Gay men (cis and trans) and men who have sex with men
- People seeking asylum
- Temporary visa holders (including student visa, working holiday visa, work sponsored visa, bridging visa and more)
- Sex workers
- People who have been incarcerated or put in detention (including immigration detention)
- Disabled person (or a person with disability)
- Neurodivergent
If you’d like to be involved, please complete an online expression of interest form using the button below.
Selected members and volunteers will receive a $100 e-voucher to compensate them for their time.
Please do not hesitate to contact Budi if you have any questions about the strategy – contact@anandalearning.com.au
Please note, this is different to the Multicultural Working Group. You can learn more about that here.
