Taking Charge Peer Support Network – Autumn Picnic

IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE as of 26 March 2026:

Due to expected wet weather on Saturday, 28 March 2026, we will be moving our gathering to the Positive Living Centre, 51 Commercial Road, South Yarra. We will meet at the centre at 11am.

Pause, take a deep breath, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a scrumptious picnic with the Taking Charge Peer Support Network at the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne.

Bring your own picnic rugs or chairs, if you like. We will provide the food. Meet at 11am outside The Observatory cafe, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, 100 Birdwood Avenue, Melbourne.

The venue is accessible by wheelchair. Parking is available on Birdwood Avenue. Nearest tram stop: Shrine of Remembrance/St Kilda Road.

Taking Charge is a peer support network for people aged 50 and above living with HIV. The program is a partnership between Thorne Harbour Health and Living Positive Victoria. For more information, contact Gerry O’Brien at gerry.obrien@thorneharbour.org or James Seow at jseow@lpv.org.au.
