Drop the jargon to understand HIV better
The Centre for Culture, Ethnicity & Health promote the importance of the use of plain language in helping to make information easier to understand. This Tuesday, 25 October was Drop The Jargon Day.
When creating written content for reports and websites, it’s always valuable to ask these questions before publishing: Will people understand and use the content? Will people believe the content? Do they trust the message?
To mark Drop the Jargon Day, LPV is pleased to share the first in our new plain language information series about HIV cure called Understanding HIV Cure Science. HIV cure science can be difficult to understand, and a lot of the information out there is presented using very specific language that we don’t use every day.
