Become a Volunteer

Living Positive Victoria recognises the vital role that volunteering has and continues to play in the response to the HIV epidemic in Australia.

Living Positive Victoria volunteers can participate in a range of roles, through assisting with community events, peer-led workshops, forums and festivals, fundraising, or even joining the Board of Directors.  Our volunteer program is guided by the National Volunteering Strategy and the National Standards for Involving Volunteers.

All prospective volunteers are required to fill out an application form, complete a Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check,  attend a face-to-face interview to discuss your expectations and how we can best support you in your volunteer role. Following the initial face-to-face interview, volunteers are required to attend a volunteer induction session. Volunteer inductions are held twice a year (April and November) on a Saturday between 10am – 1pm.

Expressions of interest to volunteer at Living Positive Victoria are not currently open.

Volunteer induction processes are held twice a year, beginning in March and October. Please check back at these times.

If you are interested in joining the Positive Speakers Bureau, you can register your interest here.

Living Positive Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
