Strategic Plan 2023-28: Pillar 2 – Advocate
Building on our strengths as an organisation, we have developed a framework of 3 pillars to guide our decisions over the coming five years.

What this means for our community…
- LPV will work in partnership with research organisations and programs to ensure that people with HIV are involved in designing and interpreting HIV-related research.
- LPV will strengthen our collaborations with partner organisations to provide outreach and peer support programs to all people living with HIV and renew and establish formal partnership agreements with key representative organisations that advocate for the communities we work with.
- LPV will continue to advocate that all newly diagnosed people are referred into peer support.
- LPV will contribute to the body of peer knowledge through participation in conferences, state advisory groups, working groups, committee representations and national partnerships in which we advocate for equity and influence systems and policies that create disadvantage.
- LPV will connect with the Victorian disability sector to better understand the needs of people with disabilities who also have HIV.
- LPV will collaborate with key housing service providers to enhance their capacity to meet the needs of PLHIV experiencing housing stress and homelessness.
