Phoenix is designed for people living with HIV at any stage of their journey. Whether you were diagnosed recently or many years ago, this workshop offers a supportive space to ask questions, gain clarity, and connect with others who understand the lived experience of HIV.

Our next two‑day workshop is on Friday 8 May, 7–9pm (6:30pm for pizza) and Saturday 9 May, 9am–6pm.

The program is facilitated by peers who also live with HIV and includes dedicated sessions with an HIV specialist doctor and a counsellor. Across two days, we explore key areas that support wellbeing:

  • Hear the latest information on HIV treatment options from a specialist doctor.
  • Speak with a counsellor about living well with HIV.
  • Explore topics such as relationships, sex, and navigating disclosure confidently and safely.
  • Connect with others living with HIV and learn from a range of lived experiences.
  • Discover supports, services, and practical tools that can help you feel more empowered and informed.

Participants consistently tell us how much Phoenix has meant to them:

“It was great to be able to share experiences in a safe place.”
“I would highly recommend Phoenix for both newly diagnosed and those with lived experience. There’s always a new way to look at things.”
“I wasn’t sure I needed something like this, but I’m so glad I came.”
“Best thing I’ve done since being diagnosed.”
“I felt valued and accepted — an excellent team.”
“Talking openly helped me realise I’m not alone.”
“I wish I knew about Phoenix when I was diagnosed.”
