Join our Multicultural Working Group

We invite the Victorian multicultural community to join our multicultural working group.

Living Positive Victoria is a non-for-profit organisation with charity status. We provide services and programs for all people with HIV in Victoria. We are dedicated to equality and ensuring all people have access to services across the community.

The provision of the multicultural working group is to ensure that our service delivery and support continue to uphold our values and evolve to be imbedded within our organisational culture. This can be achieved by developing strong multicultural inclusive policies, strategic development, community consultation and working collaboratively with aligned organisations.

Why would you join?

Be part of a group that creates meaningful inclusion for multicultural communities. We aim to ensure ongoing diversity and representation within Living Positive Victoria and the wider HIV community. We do this by discussing current issues and challenges that may be faced and putting into action ideas and services that support our community.

Desirable attributes:

  • Being from a multicultural diverse background
  • Availability of 2 hours per month (Person/Online attendance)
  • Knowledge of multicultural barriers and issues from your community
  • Experience in leadership, policy development or non-profit is desirable but not essential
  • Passionate about making meaningful changes and working within diverse frameworks
  • Being able to advise on strategies that create and facilitate inclusion

If you feel you would love to be part of the group but don’t necessarily have the skills we have mentioned above, no problem. This group is where you can develop your skills in a safe and supportive environment.  Email us at  MulticulturalDiversityandInclusion@livingpositivevictoria.org.au  to set up a chat.

Living Positive Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
