Call for Nominations
Living Positive Victoria’s mission is to enable and empower all people affected by and living with HIV to be part of a response that seeks an end to the HIV epidemic.
A strong and effective board will keep people living with HIV at the forefront of the response. This requires a dedicated team to align with the vision of the organisation to see a world where people living with HIV live their lives to their full potential, in good health and free from discrimination.
Beyond ensuring the good governance of the organisation, elected directors will play a significant role overseeing the implementation of our 2023-2028 Strategic Plan as well as supporting staff, volunteers and stakeholders through new opportunities and challenges as we advocate for the health and wellbeing of the HIV community in Victoria.
With a new strategic plan recently launched in July, the board is seeking three directors to join an outstanding team to deliver on our mission to enable and empower all people affected by and living with HIV in Victoria to be part of the response that seeks an end to the HIV epidemic.
We’re encouraging anyone interested to get in touch to find out more. If you are passionate and committed to advancing equality and inclusion for people living with HIV and share our values, we’d love to hear from you.
We are committed to ensuring that our board is representative of the diverse communities we serve and welcome applicants from all intersections.
We are particularly seeking candidates with expertise in the areas of:
• Finance and accounting
• Governance and risk management
• Australia’s immigration system
• Business development
Nomination process
Nominations are now open and close at 5pm on Friday 15 September 2023. There are a total of three (3) positions available for election. These positions are open to full members of the organisation and are elected by members. An election will only be conducted if the number of nominees exceeds the number of vacant positions.

Nomination documents
All nominees must fully complete the following documents prior to submitting their application:
- Board Nomination Form
- Supporting Statement
Applications including the Board Nomination Form and the Supporting Statement MUST be submitted to secretary@livingpositivevictoria.org.au no later than 5pm on Friday 15 September 2023.
The outcome of this process will be shared with members via the returning officer at this year’s Living Positive Victoria Annual General Meeting to be held at the Positive Living Centre on Saturday 28 October 2023 between 1.30 – 3.30pm. More Information
